About the Role
We are currently seeking a Accounts Payable Coordinator to join our team. This individual will support OSBT in optimizing our financial transactions and systems by performing reconciliation of payments and customer accounts.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Creates invoices according to company practices; submits invoices to customers via email, Ariba, SharePoint or various portals.
Maintains and updates customer files, including name or address changes, payment terms, tax exemptions or discount.
Drafts correspondence for standard past-due accounts and collections, identifies delinquent accounts by reviewing files, and contacts delinquent accountholders to request payment.
Creates reports regarding the status of customer accounts as requested.
Research customer discrepancies and past-due amounts.
Performing account receivable reconciliations
Communicate discrepancies to management team, identify slow-paying customers
Updates receivables by totaling unpaid invoices
Prepares weekly past due reports for team to review.
Prepares payment reports, showing any payments that need to be applied and/or reviewed.
Tracks changes to customers tickets with regards to revenue and cost and updating our accounting system accordingly.
2+ years of experience working in an Accounts Receivable role
Proficient in MS Office Suite and other accounting related software programs
Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable principles
Experience with Great Plains software is a plus
Must be able to work from home and in-office
Ability to prioritize and complete assignments with strict deadlines.
Must be able to work well under pressure and within time restraints.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
