To whom it may concern, Our church recently completed a Family Life Center building project which includes a large gym that is truly a multi-purpose room. For the task of designing and installing the sound, lighting and video systems, we turned to One Source Building Technologies of Winston-Salem, NC. We are extremely pleased with their work in the total process from dreaming with us, designing the system components to meet our budget and needs, seeing the system installed by friendly, quality personnel, and receiving excellent service following the installation. I would highly recommend their services. The sound system is excellent quality and sounds very good – even in a gym with many hard, reflective surfaces. With the use of the Audia Biamp processor, we can operate the system via a wall plate for simple uses, or can connect a mixer on the gym floor via a single mass connector. Sufficient stage inputs and mixer channels give us plenty of flexibility to accommodate a variety of styles of worship and productions. The video projection system includes dual projection screens and bright projectors that lower via scissor lifts. The screens offer superior viewing throughout the gym. They serve a variety of purposes in our ministry including song lyric and sermon notes projection, showing VHS videos and DVDs, announcements, and scoreboard projection for our Upward Basketball and Cheerleading ministry. The Crestron wireless touch screen offers easy switching of video sources from anywhere in the room. Video input connector jacks on stage, at the portable mixer location, and in our control booth offer us great flexibility in connecting sources in various locations. The sound and video lines also travel to adjacent classrooms that can be used for overflow seating for major events. The stage lighting system features Entertainment Technology’s dimmer strips which hang above the lights. This reduced the number of electrical wires that had to be run and allows the dimmers to vent in a large open area. The lighting fixtures chosen provide great coverage of the stage and have been used for worship services, drama productions, and other special events. I would like to offer a personal word of thanks to those involved in our project. Jeff Brooks has served as our account representative and has been a joy to work with. His ideas and equipment selection have served us extremely well. He has been patient in tweaking proposals to meet our needs. Harold Miller, project manager/engineer, did an excellent job of planning, drawing, and bringing the vision to life. He worked with us to overcome challenges on the jobsite when the architect’s drawings didn’t match the exact building construction. And I can’t say enough good things about Tom Fohner, chief installer. The installation was completed in a professional manner. The wiring work was done neatly - well labeled and organized. Equipment and hardware were painted to blend in with the surroundings. He was on-hand at our first event to ensure that everything ran smoothly. He was willing to do whatever it took to get the job done right! I’m also grateful for all the others who worked with Tom and those at the office who assisted with our project. You have all been a delight to work with, and I look forward to future projects together. Sincerely, |
